Can the fine folks in the hockey category do the category a favor?
hockey Monday, November 24th, 2008One that will surely help us all.
I understand that some abusers have gone on a rampage here. I’ve read every post and refuse to answer pointless, non-hockey related subject matter. For an aggressive person like myself it took a lot of restraint but I managed to do it.
I ask that we also lead by example and refrain from posting any questions that have to do with the abusers, okay?
I know that you mean well and are rightfully angry about the one’s that I won′t mention.
They want “air time”, so, lets give them “no time” at all.
Some folks are posting hockey related questions, let′s follow their lead. Heck, I even answer the “dead horse” questions with a smile now.
That′s all, I’m not trying to bash anyone, let′s try to keep it to hockey okay?
HOCKEY QUESTION: Has anyone been to another NHL teams’ home rink for a game? Myself, no. What was your experience?
It′s just my luck that when the Flyers are playing the Sharks it has to be here in Philly. My brother and his family live over the hill from San Jose and this is probably the only year that I’ll be able to drive to California until I am able to retire in 2025.
Oh well, them’s da breaks.
Be easy on yourselves, I’m as guilty as anyone – if not more – of feeding the trolls.

I’ve already started my tongue biting, as hard as it is for me as well. Biggest reaction you’ll get from me with the retards is “no comment”
I’ve been to Flyer games in Ottawa, Montreal, Toronto, Jersey, TB and Boston.
Boston was the only place of all of them that they didn’t really appreciate me being there so kudos to Boston fans. I shouldn’t feel welcome in their barn and didn’t feel welcome. IMO, the way it should be.
Awsome Bill, I couldn’t agree with you more. I will follow your example to the very best of my ability.
Now to answer your question- I’ve been to the Joe Louis Arena to see a Red Wings/Stars game when I was in high school. I was the only person in the entire building wearing a Stars jersey, yet was not harrassed for it. In fact, the section I was sitting with spent the bulk of the game talking hockey with me. I enjoyed the game and the arena in general. It was the only time I saw Yzerman and the Wings play live. Great stuff.
no i missed out on great oppurtinty to when i was in the lower 48 for last couple years, but now that im back in alaska doubt ill be watching anyone but the ace’s.
That’s going to be tough b/c I love giving the trolls hell, but ok I’ll try!
I’ve only ben to the Ducks arena. San Jose is too far and the Staple Center is in a war zone. I don’t have a Howitzer or UZi so I’m not going.
I COMPLETELY AGREE WITH YOU!
And as to your question, no i haven’t.
I will do my best to fallow in your great foot steps! It’ll be hard, but your right!!!
And to answer your question, I have only been to two NHL games both in Chicago both against the Minnesota North Stars!
Yea. Youre right about that. It’ll be hard to ignore being called a puck bunny but now that i know the puckdatt that called me that was a faker (which i wasnt sure of before) its ignoring time.
and to answer your question yes I have.
I have been to a rangers home game against the devils, a flyers home game against the devils, a redwings home game against san jose, a pittsburgh home game against the capitals, and a hurricanes home game for game 5 of the stanley cup finals in 05-06.
I completely agree with you. Let’s not feed the trolls.
As for your question, all the games I’ve been to are Stars games, at the American Airlines center. The last one I was at was fall of 2003, when they played the NY Rangers. We had awesome seats…3 rows off the ice, within spitting distance of the Ranger’s bench. Freakin’ awesome!!
Alright, I’ll give up the Jude questions
I hope people see this question and even if they don’t answer it, they follow your advice. And I, for one, know that you didn’t suddenly have an epiphany; you’ve been trying to tell people to do this since the drama started basically. So have I.
Even though I’ve asked an okay bit of hockey-related questions, I’m guilty of feeding the trolls. Jenni’s right, it’s fun. Lol. But I’ll be good from now on.
Nope, I haven’t been to a different arena for a hockey game… I might go to a Caps/Pens game in DC this season or the next. I’d love to go up to Buffalo for a Sabres/Pens game.
i agree with you that is why i dont answer them 95% of the time and no i have not been to another arena i would like to though i was thinking about going to Pitts or Washington though this season
Yeah,
I have caught the Wings in Boston, Glendale (‘yotes) and against the Caps. I have only been to the Joe once.
I went to a Buffalo/Toronto Game in Toronto.
The whole Air Canada Center was full of buisness men in suits or polo shirt, not many Jerseys. My friend and I were the loudest 2 in the place cheering and we are Sabres fans. It wasnt very fun and I won’t do it again. But we had fun in the bars afterwards!!!!
I’ve noticed the same thing over the past couple weeks. Everyone is just about going nuts because the season hasn’t started yet! I don’t bother to go into those debates and squabbles.
I have been to the old Maple Leaf Gardens and have yet to go to the Air Canada Centre for a game (been on the tour though!); been to the Joe Louis Arena in Detroit, the former Marine Midland Arena in Buffalo and the Saddledome in Calgary.
